2021 First Person Series: Albert Garih
|Date||Wed, Jun 9, 12:00pm - 1:00pm|
Albert was not even two years old when his family escaped Paris amid gunfire during the German invasion. After returning to Nazi-occupied Paris, Albert’s father was later deported to a forced labor camp and the rest of the family spent the war in hiding, sometimes in poor conditions and on the run.
Learn about Albert’s experiences as a young child fleeing with his family while separated from his father.
The First Person series is a monthly hour-long discussion with a Holocaust survivor and is made possible through generous support from the Louis Franklin Smith Foundation, with additional funding from the Arlene and Daniel Fisher Foundation.
