| Details | Join us every afternoon during Spring Break to hear the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, refugees, and hidden children, as well as second-generation survivors. About the Speaker Dr. Andras Lacko was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1936. In a twist of fate, Lacko contracted scarlet fever in 1944 which saved him from ghettoization and subsequent deportation to Poland. He survived the Holocaust in a military hospital and was later reunited with his mother and father after the Soviet liberation of Budapest.
