Details | Join the Houston Holocaust Survivors and Descendants, together with Holocaust Museum Houston, for an innovative program for children ages 5-13. Fania’s Heart, written by Anne Renaud and illustrated by Richard Rudnicki, tells the true story of the creation of a heart-shaped book in Auschwitz and the women who risked their lives to create it. This inspiring story recounts the resiliency and courage of the women who treated each other with humanity, despite the horrors inflicted upon them. Following the reading, attendees will participate in an interactive activity designed to reflect upon the themes of the book. Children are invited to attend with a parent(s) or grandparent(s). The program is open to interested families, whether or not your family includes Holocaust survivors. To register, click here. |
