Details | During a time when our students have just witnessed an assault upon our nations’ Capitol, and an increase in antisemitism, racism and hate crimes, this lesson is particularly relevant. Tactics of Resistance gives them the opportunity to engage in critical thinking and decision making around resisting aggression and encourages them to examine the potential short and long-term outcomes of various actions. Expand students’ thinking about the spectrum of possible responses to bigotry, genocide, and other forms of aggression—from non-violence to the armed resistance of the Jewish partisans. Learn how to use the “Resistance Matrix” with your students as a tool for analyzing and brainstorming the different solutions to conflict. Workshop presenter Jonathan Furst, Director of Education, specializes in Holocaust education and professional development and has taught thousands of educators. He will answer your questions during and after the workshop. Register for the workshop here. |
