Details | Join The Center for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education's (Chhange) 2021 Virtual Colloquium, featuring author and educator Alexandra Zapruder. Alexandra will speak about the significance of diaries written by Jewish teens during the Holocaust, along with the importance of literary and artistic expression created by teens throughout the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Alexandra's Zapruder’s decades-long work to research, collect, and publish Holocaust diaries written by Jewish teens is the subject of her acclaimed book, Salvaged Pages: Young Writers’ Diaries of the Holocaust. Over the past year, Alexandra has also collected writings, art, photography, and music of teens living through the COVID pandemic. She will speak about what is especially meaningful about the contributions today’s youth are making toward the historical and literary record of our times.
