Operation Barbarossa and the Holocaust

Operation Barbarossa, the code name for the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, was a significant turning point in World War II. Marking the 79th anniversary of this invasion, Dr. Nils Roemer of the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies will consider the significance of this event and the role that it played in the escalation of the atrocities committed during the Holocaust.
