Details

While captive in the Warsaw ghetto, Jewish historian and social worker Emanuel Ringelblum led a brave group—including writers, teachers, and even children—to secretly document their suffering and spiritual resilience under the Nazis. They also alerted the world about the mass murder of Poland’s Jews while there was still time to help. Their cries went unanswered, but some of the evidence they buried lived on.

Learn about the people who defied the Nazis by documenting their own history—and the determination of the few who survived the Holocaust to uncover the truth they left behind.
