Details | Nothing made sense anymore to 14-year-old Agi Geva by the time she arrived at the Auschwitz-Birkenau killing center with her mother and sister. Still, it was unimaginable that the motion of a guard’s hand could decide whether she lived or died. Agi, her mother, and her sister ended up surviving four camps together—including Auschwitz twice—enduring forced labor and a death march before being liberated by American troops in April 1945.
