Participants will also learn about the Holocaust Museum Houston’s excellent learning in-person and online resources. Houston area teachers will earn 1.5 hours CPE credit. Holocaust Museum Houston is dedicated to educating people about the Holocaust, remembering the 6 million Jews and other innocent victims, and honoring the survivors’ legacy. Using the lessons of the Holocaust and other genocides, we teach the dangers of hatred, prejudice, and apathy. Centropa interviewed 1,200 elderly Jews living in 15 European countries. We asked our respondents to tell us their entire life stories spanning the 20th c. as they showed us their old family photographs. Centropa offers teachers a database of thousands of annotated photos, hundreds of interviews, and scores of award-winning, short multimedia films (no longer than 30 minutes)—ideal for virtual or in-class projects that teach digital literacy, promote critical thinking, increase global awareness and all free of charge. Each summer we bring 25 US teachers to the great cities of Central Europe to travel with 80 teachers from 15 countries; in 2022 we will be in Berlin. Join this webinar to learn more. Questions?
