Details | The Holocaust Speaker Series, held each Wednesday at 10:00AM (Central), features Holocaust survivors and descendants of survivors sharing stories of life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Join Holocaust & Humanity Center on Wednesday, September 14 at 10:00AM via Zoom with Ron Schwarz. Register here. Ron Schwarz is the son of Holocaust Survivor Charles Schwarz. As a boy, Charles lived in Nazi Germany before fleeing to France, witnessed the German occupation of France, and completed the treacherous mountain crossing of the French-Swiss border. Ron’s grandparents endured the Nazis in Germany including internment at Dachau and the seizing of their personal property. As a second-generation speaker, Ron uses a multimedia presentation to share his father’s and grandparents’ daring journey and teach the lessons of the Holocaust. Generously sponsored by Margaret and Michael Valentine and presented in partnership with the Harriet and Kenneth Kupferberg Holocaust Center and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. |
