Where Do I Belong? Holocaust Survivors Return to Vienna

What prompted Viennese Jews to return to their home city after the devastation of the Holocaust? What were their hopes, and what did they find?

You are invited to join a conversation between historians Professor Albert Lichtblau and Dr. Elizabeth Anthony. Dr. Anthony will discuss her new book The Compromise of Return: Viennese Jews after the Holocaust. The book explores the motivations and expectations that inspired Viennese Jews to re-establish lives in their hometown after the devastation and trauma of the Holocaust.

Ms. Tracey Petersen, the Manager of the Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme, will deliver brief welcoming remarks.
