This lecture examines the little-known formative years of refugee artist and activist Gustav Metzger, which is for the first time exhibited at Ben Uri Gallery and Museum in London (UK) June 16 – September 17, 2021. These early works chart Metzger’s artistic journey from figuration to abstraction prior to the development of his later radical auto-destructive practice. Metzger was one of 10,000 Jewish children evacuated in 1939 to London as part of the Kindertransport.

Senate Bill 1828 charges the Texas Holocaust, Genocide, and Antisemitism Advisory Commission with developing or approving materials for a statewide Holocaust Remembrance Week. Provided is information on best practices and various lists of approved resources.
