Details | The next installment of Yahad-in Unum's 2021 autumn online conference series #BeyondMemory will take place on Thursday, October 28th. The conference will be presented by Dr. Kai Struve of the Freie Universität Berlin. Register here. Dr. Kai Struve earned a PhD in Modern History from Free University of Berlin and an MA in Modern History, Philosophy, and Political Sciences from the same university. He is the author of the books Peasants and Nation in Galicia: On Belonging and Social Emancipation in the 19th Century and Deutsche Herrschaft, Ukrainischer Nationalismus, Antijüdische Gewalt, der Sommer 1941 in der Westukraine, of several articles on nationalism and antisemitism in East-Central Europe during the 19th and 20th Centuries. Dr. Struve has also delivered lectures at universities and written several conference papers on such topics as interethnic relations and shared and divided memory in Soviet-occupied Eastern Poland. |
