Nahal Oz was home long before October 7 for Matan Weitz.
It was friends, parties, stupid jokes, long nights, and learning how to keep laughing even when rockets were part of everyday life.
Then came October 7.
And after it came evacuation, funerals for people he loved, months of grief, speaking on behalf of his community, fighting for the return of the hostages, and trying to figure out what it means to keep going when the life you knew has completely changed.
On October 8, Matan will share that story.
Not only the story of one terrible day, and not only a story of loss. He will talk about the life that came before it, everything that followed, the people of Nahal Oz, and what it has meant to carry all of it with him.
