The Conspiracy Theory of Antisemitism | Echoes & Reflections

Antisemitism has persisted for centuries by continually adapting ancient conspiracy theories to fit new social, political, and cultural contexts. This webinar will trace the evolution of antisemitic myths from medieval accusations of secret power, devil worship, and ritual harm to modern conspiracy narratives that repackage these same themes through contemporary events and public figures. We will examine how media ecosystems help preserve and renew these narratives, revealing how remarkably old ideas continue to shape modern antisemitism.

Led by Brian Hughes, PhD, Director of USC Shoah Foundation's Countering Antisemitism Lab, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the historical roots of antisemitic conspiracy theories, how they evolve and endure across generations, and why they remain so resilient today.
