Pinchas and his family were imprisoned in the Warsaw ghetto\, and were later deported to Majdanek\, a concentration and death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland\, where Pinchas's sister and parents were murdered. By the time he was liberated in 1945\, Pinchas had survived six Nazi camps and a death march.
