The lecture will also place emphasis on the Selection process at Auschwitz\, where inmates were either designated to go to the gas chamber or to perform forced labor.  \nDr. Barnes is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of the Incarnate Word and a docent at the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio.
