DESCRIPTION:This program is designed to enhance teachers’ knowledge\, capacity\, and confidence to teach about the Holocaust. Educators are introduced to pedagogical principles and explore classroom lessons\, visual history testimonies and other resources that examine aspects of the history and its continued relevance today. Topics will include: pre-war Jewish life\, antisemitism\, escalation of hate\, the ghettos\, the Final Solution and liberation.\nLunch will be provided.\nTeachers will earn 5 CPE hours and 4 GT hours.\nThere will also be an optional Holocaust Gallery tour from 3 – 4 p.m.\nInterested in a more in-depth exploration of the Holocaust?
