SUMMARY:Holocaust Remembrance Association | Holocaust Garden of Hope October 7 Commemoration
DESCRIPTION:On the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks in Israel\, the worst attack against Jewish people since the Holocaust\, Holocaust Remembrance Association (HRA18) invites you to join a global prayer vigil organized by the international March of Life (Remembrance) movement.\nOn October 6 this year\, HRA18 will join the global silent vigil led by March of Life\, reading the names of the 1\,170 victims and commemorating the destruction of villages\, standing united with the Jewish people and state of Israel. The ceremony will take place in partnership with Inspire Church Houston at the Holocaust Garden of Hope\, where HRA18 continues its mission to educate\, heal\, and reconcile across faiths. Featuring this event on your network would offer your audience a deeply moving and timely reflection on the importance of standing against hatred and indifference\, now more than ever.	The March of Life is an initiative by Jobst and Charlotte Bittner and TOS Ministries from Tübingen\, Germany. Together with descendants of German Wehrmacht soldiers\, members of the SS and police force\, they have organized memorial and reconciliation marches at sites of the Holocaust all over Europe and worldwide. Since the beginning of this movement in 2007\, marches have been held in 25 nations and hundreds of cities in cooperation with Christians from different churches and denominations\, as well as with many Jewish communities. Over the past decade in Texas\, where Governor Abbott has recently emphasized vigilance against antisemitism at colleges and universities\, HRA18\, through the March of Remembrance\, has held multiple March of Remembrance public events at Texas Lone Star College System\, Southern Methodist University (SMU)\, Texas A&M University\, Rice University\, and the University of St. Thomas.8:29 - Music program\, bring a chair - Community interfaith prayer led by Rev.
