The Establishment of Ghettos

Why did the Germans create ghettos throughout Eastern Europe? What functions did they fulfill for the Germans? For two-and-a-half years, Jews from all over Poland were herded into ghettos and forced to live in terrible conditions of overcrowding, hunger and disease. Yiftach Meiri, Yad Vashem educator, will lead this presentation.
